The surf was amazing tonight at Pawleys Island! 15 footers were pounding in and made the area very hazy with all of the water in the air!

180 second exposure tonight at 5pm, still light out but subdued due to the winter storm. The waves were 12 to 15 feet and even with a long exposure you couldn't get flat water, just a white mist! Fuji X-E1 with 13 stops of ND (Lee Seven5 system with 10 stop Big Stopper and another 3 stop solid ND) Still it was a lot of fun. I metered with an external spot meter (Sekonic L758DR) with 10 stops of EV dialed in but chose an area of the image that corresponded to Zone 5 to keep things simple!
