Rupite is a protected area, which is located about 10 km from Petrich and 2 km from the village of Rupite, at the eastern foot of an extinct volcano Housing Mountain (281 m). Hill is composed of volcanic rocks. Its name derives from the fact that it resembles a wrapped jacket. In 1962 part of the Housing area - 0.4 hectares, was declared a landmark.Protected Rupite is known for its healing mineral springs with a temperature of 74 ° C and a flow rate of 35 l / sec.
