I took this image more than two years ago in the Madikwe Game Reserve. A massive storm was brewing but we decided to head out and see what kind of creative images we can get in the rain.
While sitting on a raised dam wall, trying to keep our gear out of the downpour, we noticed a small journey of giraffe.
All five animals had their backs turned to the rain, which was coming in at quite an angle due to heavy winds, which gave us the opportunity to grab images like this.
The combination of a slow shutter speed and the blurred rain makes for an image that almost looks like a painting!
