This is one from our White & Wild Japan tour.

This was shot at sunrise at the roosting spot of the Japanese cranes - an endangered species.

As we were waiting for the birds to wake up, suddenly a fox appeared from the forest. Japanese cranes are big birds, so we were wondering whether the fox would actually try to grab one for breakfast. It didn't. Much to our surprise it actually came within two or three meters of the cranes, and they were not impressed. Turned out that the fox was only interested in having a drink from the river

Due to popular demand we have two tours to Japan next year, and both are filling fast.

Hope to see you there!
