A male Western Willow Spreadwing (Lestes viridis) hanging from the branch of one of it's favourite shrubs, the Hawthorn. The Western Willow Spreadwing is the only Spreadwing to lay it's eggs not in the water but high above it in or between the bark of the Hawthorn or other overhanging trees.
