This shot is of the Point Arena coastline. I could have not asked for anything more. All the elements for a good hot were there: coastline, sky, water, light inside the clouds and a little inland grass. The vantage point for this shot is from the top of the Point Arena Lighthouse. This place is amazing and I would have not climbed to the top had it not been for the wonderful advice and recommendation of a retired photographer at the entrance gate. His words to me, " you want the best shots of this area, pay your $7 dollars to get into the park and climb to the top of the lighthouse". This was some of the best advice I received in a long time, and it only cost me $7 dollars. After climbing over 140 steps to get to the top, you now can walk outside on a circular deck and a 360 degree view awaits you. Yes, super windy and cold but you don't feel a thing as the body is in an excitement mode at the incredible view you are presented with.CS6 CR helped take care of things with a bit if luminosity masking to bring out the detiails.
