Red-rimmed Wood fungus (Fomitopsis pinicola) is a species of fungus in the family tree sponge. He can be found on living or dead deciduous and coniferous trees throughout the year. Especially often he can be found on spruce in mountainous regions.
The fine pores on the underside are round in shape. First, they are light lemon yellow to ocher, later they are colored gray-brown. Per millimeter, there may be 2 to 6, pores. In young mushrooms are numerous droplets (guttation) on the growth zone and the hymenium as you can see on the photo.
