From this vantage point far from any of the trails I was able to take in some of the marvelous foliage that adorned the region as well. The trees here all seemed shaped by winds to an almost deciduous bonsai in form. I had many options in this regard and one morning after staying the night on a high ridge nearby I was absolutely amazed at the scene which unfolded.
Although the image doesn't capture the scale, nothing does. For me it captures something of the sense of place and standing there, however, and I hope it does for you too.
