On the drive to this old abandoned house in the Hunter Valley, NSW, the conditions were extremely foggy and we were hoping that it would linger long enough to shoot.

It definitely did stick around long enough - completely isolating this old abandoned house; the backdrop to which would normally be hills and trees. The complete isolation of the subject greatly enhanced the moody and spooky feeling - the three of us felt as if a serial killer was going to burst out of the house at any moment.

The image is so-named because I was reading what is probably my favourite dystopian novel - Stephen King's "The Stand" - again the night prior on my Kindle; and the appearance of this house certainly makes it look as though it has weathered the apocalypse.

This is a seven shot stitch with a Zeiss 50/2.
