Finding the a good shot overlooking the edge of Crater Lake was tough since the snow piles up deceptively beyond the supporting cliff underneath. It was difficult to tell how far up to the edge was safe, so I stayed back and photographed some of the interesting patterns in the snow as part of this panorama (stitched from three frames).
