This would have to be one of the most photographed trees in New Zealand. This lone willow which appears in Lake Wanaka is very photogenic. Unfortunately at the when this photo was taken the lake was very very full after recent heavy rain, so getting this shot required some wading on my part - whereas there have been times when the water level was so low you were able to walk right up to the tree.
This is a stitched panorama shot on a Voigtlander 90/3.5 APO-Lanthar SLII. The longer focal length allowed me to only wade up to my knees to capture this.
