I love Parrot tulips, especially the red ones, the colourful frivolous bud can open into a gorgeous voluptuous bloom...

I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen!
You can see for yourself what this Rococo tulip was saying!!! I HAVE A HEART OF GOLD...LOL

On a serious note:
I get between 300 and 500 emails a day, many with requests about my lighting.

I have no secrets really. Each flower shot is lit individually. There's no magic formula. I use continuous light, I'm not keen on flash, together with an array of reflectors, flags and cutters to shape the light. It took me over 20 years of work and experimentation to learn the language of light. I knew exactly what I wanted, I could see it with my minds eye, and I was determined my real eyes were going to see it one day!

If I may humbly offer some advice, like I give to pupils in a workshop? I am NOT one of those 'teachers' who wants little ME's, no, the individuality of a person is too precious!
Each photographer must pursue their own vision and develop a unique style and voice. You can only do that through constantly experimenting and trying things and then when you find a look that you like you have to pursue and refine it with a passion.

I work over 10 hours a day on my photography.

I wish you all of the best in your photographic endeavours.
