The paths we walk both define and mold us. This particular one (from our expedition on the Isle of Skye) holds significance to me, not only for the stunning vista that unfolded below us, but it was where my younger brother David (who assists me on some expeditions) overcame his lifelong acrophobia (fear of heights). The sheer winds, the steep drops, and oft crumbling/eroded path terrified him until he put mind over matter and trusted in himself, his own ability to NOT fall, to NOT trip.

This confidence has stayed with him to date, as he demonstrated in Iceland recently - even going so far as to suggest we traverse and descend into a canyon, helping me slide myself and my gear off the edge of a cliff, etc.

Pay attention to the path *you* walk, and make sure yours shapes *you* in the way you want.
