A big, starry night sky - stars in the Milky Way on a clear, bright night near McCall, Idaho USA. This is a very wide angle view (180-degree fisheye) of the evening sky -- almost 1/2 the night hemisphere in a single exposure. I love astronomy and looking into the heavens to see the galaxies, constellations, and nebula. McCall is a great place to get away from all the light pollution of the city!
Virtually all my NightScapes are ONE exposure (less than 30 seconds), and with little Photoshop correction --mostly to increase contrast. Watch the NightScape VIDEO – with one Milky Way after another! For more how-to and behind the scenes information, visit my Into The Night Photography blog. You can order PRINTS here.
