This is probably my personal favorite image. I can't wait to print it.
You may have noticed I previously had zero green images in my portfolio, save for a corn lily abstract. I typically shy away from green/waterfalls, because I find it harder to differentiate from the crowd with that type of image. Well, I can safely say I've found some green scenes I love. I now have a Bollino-like obsession with vine maples, and I've garnered quite an affinity for carpets of clovers.
This type of scene is probably now my favorite to shoot - there's very little time pressure like sunrises and sunsets, and the results can be much more dynamic than night scenes (the other slower, more chill/deliberate type of photography I enjoy).
An Olympic-themed rendition of Dre's perennial classic "Let's Get High" was brewing in my head as I composed this:
"Let's Get Hoh" / "Beaches and Hohs"
When I'm shootin' these Hohs there ain't no gun involved
No hugs, sun kisses, bear tracks, bare britches, rare beaches..
