I took this photo far away from the city lights of Albuquerque, NM.
We are currently in the worst drought in New Mexico history and where there once was a lake now lies a large pond surrounded by a wasteland of dread trees and brush. It's sad to see it so dry but I know the rain will come again and until then I look forward to photographing this lonely landscape.
Lighting for this shot came from my flashlight as I "painted" the tree from 30 feet away to the left of my camera.
