This is a very remote location in Tennessee that I last visited 27 years ago. The day before my 50th birthday, I had an opportunity to return and I quickly accepted. Very few people have ever been here due to the extremely steep and rough terrain. I actually had to abandon all my equipment, except my camera, on the hike down. The foggy, damp conditions made matters only worse. When I made it to the location of the cascades, the fog began to burn off giving me a rather nice low contrast light to work with. The terrain gave me limited shooting angles, but I got a few shots I liked.
