It was so good to get back to my favorite location for photography! Seriously, if you all don't start coming to make photos at the Mendenhall Glacier, I'm going to wear this place out all by myself. This photo was from a couple days ago when I was packed up and on my way out of the cave. I was forced to stop by the incredible colors I was seeing while my brain's white balance was still on a deep cave setting. The mist in the air was stunning, and since the light is more abundant, I used a higher ISO to get more texture in the water than is normally possible.I went out again today, spending six hours hiking higher up the glacier. The landscape in unreal. I was looking for a "new" cave, but I didn't find anything I could get into. The ones I looked at wouldn't have yielded much anyway. It just goes to show, you don't find a scene like this around every corner.
