This castle is is an icon. An icon in history, but also a photographic icon. It has been photographed a zillions times. Maybe there is reason for that The original castle was built in the 14th century. Today it is completely ruined, but it's silhouette is still rising on the cliffs of the North Sea. Last year i also visited this location, but at that time we had rainy weather. No option to photograph it at that time, but i could see the potential. Last week i was there again during the photo tour i was leading. I already knew that the weather forecast and the tide schedule could create magic. We drove to the location and then i knew it would happen! And it did. Wow, what a light!Scouting locations and preparing the exact timing takes a lot of time, but i love it and it also gives me a lot of energy when i can deliver it to my photo tour participants!About the techs... The original image is 5DII, CZ 21mm @ f/13, 5 sec, iso 160. I processed the image in Lightroom separately for the sky and the foreground. Both images were blended together in PS CS6.For next year i already have some creative ideas to create some other images of the castle. When you want to join me in, please check out my website. I will update the program for 2014 on short notice
