This was supposed to be an image of the Super Moon 2013.
I drove through the angry summer storm to Cape Neddick in Maine with hopes to find some clear sky. What I found is hazy and completely cloudy horizon in addition to a hundred or so tourists- all awaiting the phenomenon near the Nubble Light. A bit upset and ready to head back I noticed this little white boat down on the rocks - almost as someone strategically placed it there - it was so perfect. Now the storm I was running away from, was fast approaching me with numerous lightning and dark clouds. But my real challenge was to dodge countless coming and going car headlights that would fill my foreground and ruin the scene - as people were leaving once they saw there was no moon to be found. I spend next hour shooting and occasionally yelling at anyone who forgot to turn their lights off.
