We decided to take a drive around the park and enjoy the beautiful weather with plans to take a photo from the legendary Snake River Overlook at sunset. Right as we pulled up, a quickly moving storm blew in accompanied with a torrential downpour and lots of lightning. We waited out the storm for a short while and once it started clearing, the sky was exploding. However, there was still a somewhat heavy rain coming down at the overlook. My wife's idea of using our umbrella is what made this shot possible.
I need to invest in wet weather gear for my camera.
