When I arrived at Lake Motosu in Yamanashi Pref. after midnight. Fuji hid behind clouds. I took some starscape shots but the milky way was located at the western part of the sky and I couldn't capture it together with Fuji or the lake from there. So I determined to sleep a while until the sun paints the sky. At 3:30AM, I felt some change in the sky outside so I got up and got out of the car, and then, looked at the sky. I was amazed that Fuji showed its divine shape and was perfectly reflected in the lake. I quickly set up a tripod and took this shot with the Sigma DP2 Merrill. At the end of the day, perfectly reflected Fuji could be seen only for 5 to 10 minutes during the dawn on this day because the water surface became rather rippled soon after I took this shot. I feel I was very lucky.
