One of the most beautiful light displays in nature is when water in the shadows catches the reflection of colorful objects which are in full sunlight. In this case, the light is reflecting off of rocks, foliage and ponderosa pine bark. If the water is moving swiftly a slow shutter speed will reveal an impressionistic wash of of smooth patterns, light and color. The movement of the water also means that every shot is different. I took about 30 images of this same wave. Next I'm going to select a couple more to develop and create a triptych.Canon 5DIII, 70-200mm f/4 L at 140mm, polarizer, 1/4 second @ f/16, ISO 160.check out The Complete Guide to Luminosity Masks.
