With the unusual week of sun and heat-waves across the country and plenty of spare time in our summer holidays, myself and the ever present and beautiful model Annie decided to take a day out of our lazy summer lounging days to go on a short shoot.
With a little planning and inspiration from Pinterest and location hunting we came across a reasonable field of tall grass with various other foliage spanning across the space, unkempt and overgrown but giving a nice summery feel to the backdrop.
Unfortunately we didn't spend too long out, with rising temperatures of around 27°C (hot for us folk in the UK!) and shooting in the ill chosen time of noon where the sun was at it's highest it was rather difficult to compose shots (both for me the photographer and Annie posing) without feeling the tiring effects of the heat.During post-processing I decided to go for towards a glamorous yet casual summery almost cross-processed look to each photo and dare I say also slightly influenced by Lana Del Rey in order to give out a feeling of warmth and beauty in a summer setting.
