On a short trip back to my hometown, I knew I wouldn't have an ample amount of time to get out and shoot. So, the first morning of my return, I arose before the sun and set out to Busch Wildlife. A local conservation area that I have been going to since I was able to cast a fishing pole. Also, an area my buddy Brad shoots quite often.

Remembering Brad mention that the lakes had been a little low, I decided to check out a lot of lakes, but settled on the largest lake of them all, lake 33. When I arrived, there was a layer of late season fall leaves coating the shoreline.

Even though the clouds and forecast claimed rain was immanent, I stuck around to see what the sunrise would do. For about 5 minutes, this little light show illuminated the horizon just above the trees.

I was pretty tickled to see that, especially considering I never had another chance to get out and shoot while there.
