This is one of my favorite star photos to date. This was taken shortly after moon set at Isolation Lake in the Enchantments. The yellow glow is from light pollution generated by Eastern Washington and the faint green tinges are due to naturally occurring airglow. This is a combination of around 86 exposures taken in sequence. The peak illuminated by the light pollution is McClellan and the Milky Way is 'erupting' from Little Anapurna. The moon was extremely bright and as it dropped behind me it illuminated the lakes.
