One of India's biggest icons is the World Heritage site, "Taj Mahal" in Agra. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his 2nd wife "Mumtaz Mahal" after she died giving birth in 1631. It is often described as one of the most extravagant monuments built for love.

Despite being filled with tourist throughout the day, it is also an important place of worship for the local Muslim community. Located to the West of the main structure is a mosque that is constructed from red sandstone. During calls for prayer, large mats are rolled out for people to to use. The gentleman in the photo is rolling the prayer mat for safe keeping until the next call for prayer.
