Forgive me for borrowing this title from Sara Gruen's popular novel, but it's so fitting to this photo.
This shot was taken during the dry season in Etosha National Park in Namibia. This is an excellent time of the year for wildlife photography in this park because the animals are drawn to a limited number of year round watering holes where you can observe them from your vehicle. This particular watering hole is called Okerfontein and it looks out over the Etosha Pan. It was here that I I had the good fortune of spending time with a pride of lions, elephants and giraffes.
