We arrived a little later than planned at the Rappenseehütte, after a long and exhausting hike - it was already dark when we got there, and in the distance a thunderstorm was brewing and closing in on us.

I didn't want to miss the chance to take a few night shots at the gorgeous Rappensee, so I looked for a nice spot and set up my tripod - the water was eeriely still, as the storm was still in the distance and we had almost no wind, yet. After a few minutes we decided to pack it up because the storm was getting closer fast and we didn't want to be caught by lightning, so we sought shelter at the Rappenseehütte. I think I still managed to capture some intriguing shots of that storm and the lightning reflecting in the mirror-like lake.
