"Well I hope my camera captured that strike," was my thought after this particular bolt of lightning violently struck in multiple places across Magna, Utah.

This was definitely one of the most active electric storms of the year so far. I hadn't ever tried to shoot lighting before (in large part due to an extreme fear of the terrible phenomenon), but from the safety provided by distance I watched and photographed this storm for about a half hour. It's beautiful when you slow it down and really look at the power streaming out of thin air.
