I did this picture at my sister's optometry office. I always liked the looks of those multi wheel eyeball machines, so i said i wanted to come in one day and do a shot with it. So i setup while she finished with patients at the end of the day and then we quickly snapped this shot.

It was actually her idea to sit me behind the machine. Originally i had just wanted her in there making adjustments or whatever it is she's doing. So good call on putting me in there... otherwise i think it woulda been much less intersting compositionally.

i used 3 lights here, crammed into the tiny office. behind the exam chair, in the doorway, etc. so there was a softbox camera left and right, and and a shoot thru umbrella overhead, slightly camera left.

i went for a slightly less illustrated look this time, though still a bit surreal.

im hoping her clinic hires me for promtional photography of all the staff now! ya right.
