A long day today in my hide hoping to photograph Foxes, but nothing really showed apart from the rain. Patience is something I am blessed with, the discipline to sit for long hours, days even watching and waiting. I always use my time very successfully as one of my well known sayings to clients is “there’s always a shot to be taken”. In this case a stunning male Chaffinch singing feet from my well hidden hide, protecting his territory and hoping to attract a lady friend. Here he started to sing, his call echoing through this woodland habitat, their call is really beautiful, very distinctive. I composed him among the small branches he was using to call from and he was in tip top condition and shouldn’t have many problems attracting a lady with a coat like that :0) Got a one to one tomorrow so hoping the weather is better :0)
