I think it is my first real portrait I've ever done so I hope to improve myself in this kind of photography. I made this picture in the desert of Thar, close to the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan. This old man is a very skilled traditional flute player and for me is reflecting the soul of Rajasthan. It is the first close-up portrait of a quite long upcoming series :) I took this portrait with my Canon 5DMkII and the Helios 85mm 1.5, which is a manual focusing old Russian lens. The focus was really hard to do here as the DoF at this distance and at 1.5 was about 2cm!! Fortunately I shot it with the LCDVF. Without it, I never would have been able to focus that close. Waiting for your feedback :)
