This is another simple creation based on the smoke photo called V that was used to make my previous upload. In this case the smoke photo color was changed and the photo was mirrored. It produces quite a different result, doesn't it. : )
For those who are interested, I'll provide some insight into my creative process. After picking a smoke photo that I think has potential, the very first thing I do is to see what it might look like duplicated and flipped on itself to create a "mirror." This is usually a horizontal flip, but sometimes a vertical or 180 degree flip (horizontal and vertical). I then move the layer around on top of the original to see how it interacts. If I'm lucky, a form of some type is immediately apparent (see The Lightkeeper for an example). I will then go back and add color. Certain shapes seem to occur more often than others; faces and certain....um....body parts seem to occur regularly.
