From Mesa Verde National Park, my wife and I traveled through Durango and along the Skyline Highway to South Mineral Campground near Silverton in the San Juan Mountains. This was one of the most beutiful places we have ever camped. Steep sweeping mountains surrounded the campground and a small creek ran right through it. To top it all off, we had the entire camp to ourselves! This view of Rolling Mountain and a branch of Mineral Creek was just a couple miles from camp along a 4x4 trail. As we explored the area and checked out an old mine, some clouds congugated and swiftly blew through the valley dropping some snow flurries. I so want to go back already!
