I'm sorry but this really looks like a fake to me. Not only the lighting isn't consistent between the background and the foreground, but also the depth of field looks pushed. In order to have the animals this big in the frame at 35mm on a DX, you'd have to be very very close to them. And being this close to an object at this focal length and F9, the background would be much more blurry,

I would really like to be proved wrong...
