The Mono Lake Tufas are an incredible sight, they stand tall surrounding the outer edge of the water. These towers were formed many years ago, and at one point were completely submerged in the lake.
After walking out to the spot I set up my first exposure, this was the first frame taken that night. I used some subtle light painting along with 6400 ISO to retain detail in the formations. The editing process was simple and just required some contrast, noise reduction and bringing up the shadow detail.
