This is a panorama taken from Washburn Point, in Yosemite National Park. I was not able to shoot in the park this past trip due to the Government Shutdown. This image was taken last time I went to Yosemite, closer to the start of summer when the Milky Way was rising after sunset.
There was lot of airglow in the sky and creating really stunning pastel shades. Rather then correct for this, I decided to accentuate them through the photographs. You can see the Milky Way arched over Half Dome in the middle of the photograph, this is being framed by trees on both edges of the frame.
