As i'm a relatively new resident of the Seattle area, my girlfriend and I decided to head to the Mt. Baker/North Cascades area this year for our summer trip... scrapping our normal plans to head to Glacier NP. I'm not necessarily "tired" of Glacier Park, but the herds of photographers get a little old and I could use a change of scenery, having spent every summer of my shooting career out there.
This image was taken on one of our "days off" from backpacking. It's a popular scene, I'll admit it, but being new to the area I just wanted to see if for myself. Nothing ground breaking in this shot... some flowers, some fog, some sunrise. It's a blend of many files for dynamic range and depth of field, something I find myself doing for just about every image these days.
Like everyone else in this crowded community, I teach workshops, sell prints, offer processing instruction for a reasonable price via Skype, and have a website with info about all of it. Take a gander www.ryandyarphotography.com
