Thanks for the comment. I'll have a think more. It was a play both in concept and technique. I have always felt there was more to get out of the concept and that the technique in this interpretation just lets it down.

I am sure you got it, but the conceptual idea as conveyed via the title was that this was recursive, in that the mask wanted so hard to be different and yet it's only another mask, just like the others. That fact that it couldn't be different made it upset, hence it had a sad face and was crying, and of course that very act of crying and misery made it what it wanted to be - different.

I think the unique emotion has to be sadness but perhaps I should re-work it with different tones or lighting to the faces and more realistic tear-like tear-coloured tears. The project will have to wait until darker winter evenings though!!
