As you can probably tell, this is a brand new vantage point of the amazing, and very well photographed Punchbowl Falls. I feel extremely lucky to have an original image of an area so far away from home that I've only visited once! First things first, I couldn't have made it here without the help of the crazy talented Mark Metternich. If you ever take a tour in the Oregon area, and want to up your photography game, I suggest heading out with him.
Anyways, as for the techie aspect of this image, this is a 16 shot deep focus stack, using multiple exposures for dynamic range, and then utilizing the foam swirls from six separate 30 second long exposures. I made the best of my full day here, and I don't believe I could have gotten a sharper image with my lens and body combo.
Thanks for viewing and reading this. More great stuff to come soon!
