Yesterday morning I was a real bonehead. I woke up at 5:30, grabbed my camera gear, and drove to Donner Lake for sunrise. It's about a 50 minute drive. Well, I set up my tripod and pulled out my camera and then remembered that I left the wallet with all my compact flash cards on my desk. Thus, I couldn't take any pictures. The sunrise was nice, and I thought about how unlucky of a move it was, but then I tried to stay positive and thought about how lucky I am to have not been a member of the Donner Party from the 19th Century. No pictures is a lot better than being someone's dinner.
Anyway, last night I decided to go to the same spot and made sure that everything was totally ready before I left early in the morning. Thankfully, this morning's sunrise was even better!
