I got to glacier national park in the late afternoon and managed to snag the last spot at the campground. It was overcast and I knew that there wasn't much time before it would get too dark in the canyon so I headed out to explore this mini-paradise. This was actually my second or third shot and it turned out to be my favorite. I love when that happens. I initially tried a horizontal comp, but there was such a nice glow in the trees that I decided to go vertical and I think that it definitely gives the image a little more life.
I was inspired to shoot here because of Zack Schnepf's image, so please check out his take here: http://500px.com/photo/15715925
