A Short-eared Owl hunting illuminated in the sun’s rays from yesterday. Out of shot was a large tree line which created areas of shade as seen in the background, the sun was setting behind me and this owl flew towards where I was and into this beautiful light. Right time right place with a touch of luck here and the light was amazing for this briefest of spells, the look of the owl at work makes the image for me :0)
