The interior of St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne can be very tricky to photograph, not just because of its Gothic design, but because of the challenge posed by its massive dimensions.
(This image was shot without a tripod.)
On a sunny summer morning in mid-February this year (2012) the light was very good, highlighting the numerous arches, the gold workmanship behind the altar, the beautiful patterned aisle and of course the historic timber pews.
