I can't help it: I have to voice my feelings about your work. In my opinion, one of the most gratifying feelings in photography is the ability to conceive the final result of the image even when one is about to tackle the shoot. Some do it the other way: Photoshop gymnasts who bend, twirl and coax an image into something, to them, more acceptable. Your work has an incredible emotional charge. So much so that - and it's embarassing for a 56 year old male to admit it - contemplating it brings tears to my eyes. I mentioned in an earlier comment, of a different image, that you are my hero. I must add youare a reference. I have known or seen nobody that can squeeze out and mould so much force, so much emotion and so much tenderness in images that are so brutally perfect. This image made me cry. Not just in terms of this woman's suffering but on behalf of all the suffering happening around the globe whether through natural disaster or man made. We live in such tragic times universally.
