These are spotted hyena pups emerging from their den in the Masai Mara in Kenya.
Mum here is wearing a tracking collar which was hardly photogenic. Ideally I wanted to place a pup between that and me to obscure it but they were bouncing around so much it was nigh on impossible. But with the limited depth of field I think I got away with it, even if only in part.
