Just back from my second trip to Joshua Tree. I was only able to spend a couple of nights there, and it unfortunately rained one of the nights.
After things cleared, we (me and trusty asst. Joe Platko) were up to 3:30AM freezing our asses off shooting stars. I've never been so cold, but LOVE being out playing with astro-photography. This shot was taken in Hidden Valley inside Joshua Tree National Park. The moon was down and the milky way was out, despite the neighboring Palm Springs and Palm Desert city lights.
