This was one of the first shots I ever took when learning to use flashes, and before i knew what real retouching was. The original image is pretty terrible. Im surprised I was able to get this much out of it! But, I was a bit bored today and decided to revist it, armed with my new knowledge. Being shot with a 30D, it was a bit lower MP, but i guess if you can make something good out of something not so good, you're better for it. at least it was mostly in focus!

The original light setup, IIRC, was an open window camera left, a bare flash with snoot to light up the rear wall, and most likely an umbrella camera right as the key.

The suit is SUPPOSED to be black, but i didnt want it to be that dark as i liked the details... soooo... perhaps a bit light for a black suit, but acceptable i think.

EDIT: After looking at this on my tablet i thought the suit was too bright. I should be trusting my calibrated monitor, but i made another version of this with a still-darker suit.

My test shots while doing this did not include pants.
