The GUU was one of my haunts as a younger man and I went through for a visit with the camera yesterday and some fond memories. In 2001 I was President of the Union which certainly "enriched" my university career in ways I would not have predicted.
This is the Back Stair case which provides a short cut between levels and also hosts the "secret cupboard" which leads to the roof. It is a part of the Union that the punters never see and this staircase has seen some fairly incredulous antics over the years. Not to mention the time there was a homeless man living there without anyone knowing!
